The more I know about someone, the easier it is to create something like this: an imaginary scene featuring not only a caricature of the subject but also a few celebrity guests, in this case a video game icon and some children's book heroes.
This is a comic featuring the subject in a highly stylized form; I was playing to the subject's preferences. Also, since an entire scene is presented, there is a level of background detail and texture in this piece that requires extra time and attention. Obviously, I would need a great deal of information about the subject of the portrait in order to create a piece like this on commission.
This is not to say that such a piece is overly difficult to plan or execute. On the contrary: if you can describe it, I am confident I can create it for you!
